Awayer is a mobile app geared for tourists who struggle with planning, organizing, and the constant fear of missing out on the best sights and experiences while traveling.
The app is currently in the UI design process in the "mid-fidelity mockups" stage - converting wireframes into static mockups that incorporate brand identity and style tiles with content and copy. Next up will be adding high-fidelity components and styles to the Design System, built in Figma, then creating prototypes and interactions, followed by user testing and analysis.
Stay tuned for progress updates and a full case study upon project completion.

IT'S NOT THE DESTINATION,
IT'S THE (CUSTOMER) JOURNEY
Travel. It's the thing that makes the world go round - or, rather, the thing that makes us go round the world. The goal of "leisure travel," as it's called, is usually just that: leisure, relaxation, getting away from the stress of everyday life. In fact, 93% of people say travel gives them "the time and space they need to stop, switch off, and reflect.”
But there's one big problem: for most of us, planning trips also adds a whole lot more stress into our lives. With 89% reporting that they think travel is stressful, for reasons ranging from stress over planning (50%), to pressures of social media (39%), to guilt over not seeing all the sights on a trip (47%), it seems there is a huge disconnect between our goal of escaping stress through travel and the added stress of planning a trip itself.
Enter Awayer. Awayer is a mobile app for travelers that offers innovative, modern solutions to an age-old problem. Like having your own personal tour guide in your pocket. While only limited information is being released at this time, see a sneak preview of the app map and concept work below and watch this space for the full UI/UX case study coming soon.
